NSDL has launched the online opt-in / opt-out facility for nomination wherein the existing Demat account holder (applicable for single account holder only) will have the ability to opt-in / opt-out of nomination in an online mode on NSDL web portal viz., https://eservices.nsdl.com/instademat-kyc-nomination/#/login.
 
 As per SEBI guidelines, all existing Demat account holders will have to mandatorily provide either for nomination or to opt out nomination on or before March 31, 2023 failing which such demat accounts will be freezed for debits.
 NSDL has vide its circular dated February 2, 2023 informed that the said online nomination link would be available for all DPs till June 30, 2023.
 Further please note, for nomination submitted by client (sole holder) thru the above online nomination link, the transaction fee Rs. 20/- which would be levied by NSDL would be charged to the client in their monthly billing being the esign cost.
 
However for Demat account with joint holding, nomination form (format enclosed) in case of opting for nomination and in case of no nomination for opting out of nomination (format enclosed), physical form would be required (mandatory) to be submitted to the Bank.
